Systemic Therapy for Children and Adolescents
In my work, I integrate systemic therapy with targeted elements from psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral approaches (CBT). This allows me to respond flexibly to the individual needs of each child and adolescent and to understand deeper psychological connections as well as offer practical, solution-oriented approaches.
What characterizes systemic therapy?
Strengthening resources: The child’s individual abilities are specifically promoted.
Focus on relationships: parents, siblings and the social environment are actively involved.
Creative methods: Role plays, systemic constellations and family discussions facilitate access to problems and promote solutions.
Solution-oriented: Instead of symptoms, the focus is on sustainable solutions.
areas of application
The therapy is particularly helpful for:
Anxiety disorders: Insecurities in social or school situations.
Depression: withdrawal, apathy or loss of interest (stabilizing - no acute treatment).
Eating disorders: anorexia, bulimia or emotional eating (stabilizing - no acute treatment).
Trauma: stressful experiences such as bullying or loss.
Psychosomatic complaints: Headaches or stomach aches due to mental stress.
therapeutic approach
Each treatment is individual, age-appropriate and designed to activate resources. Self-efficacy, communication and stability are promoted through conversations, creative exercises and family discussions.
Important instructions
